The Office of Development and Alumni Affairs has three main areas of responsibility:

Fundraising

In addition to spearheading major campaigns, such as the $19.5-million Strength to Strength Campaign that concluded in 2010, and a 2005 effort which raised $3 million to the endow the position of the Dean of Divinity, the Office manages the Trinity Fund, which raises approximately $900,000 annually for the general operating expenses of the College, and a Planned Giving program.

Alumni Programs and Activities

The Office organizes a number of events ranging from lectures to receptions to mentorship nights in order to encourage alumni, friends and parents to participate actively in the life of the College. For example, there is an annual Alumni Lecture Series featuring Trinity faculty, fellows or associates as keynote speakers, and every May Spring Reunion brings about 600 alumni back to the College to reconnect with former classmates.

The Office also provides administrative services to the Executive Committee of the Alumni Association of Trinity College and all of its subcommittees, and represents alumni interests in the internal administration of the College. It also assists the St. Hilda's College Alumnae Association, the Divinity Associates and The Friends of the Library in their activities.

Communications

Publications include the award-winning trinity magazine, published three times a year and distributed to 14,000 alumni and friends, and the College's monthly electronic newsletter, e-trinity, which keeps the Trinity community up-to-date on College news and events.
