Friends of the Library

Friends of the Library logo

The Friends of the Library are committed to enhancing the collections, facilities and programs of the College’s John W. Graham Library. Founded more than thirty years ago by five Trinity alumnae, the Friends welcome as members all who are interested in the group's activities and projects; members and officers currently include both graduates of the College and others from the wider community. The Friends gave $1.1 million toward the construction of the new library building, opened in 2000, and over the course of their 30-year history have contributed more than $3 million overall to the library. The Friends organize an annual Book Sale, which draws on the volunteer efforts of hundreds of supporters and raises considerable sums for the library (a record $140,000 in 2002). There is also a program of lectures, literary and social events for members.  For information about joining The Friends of the Library, attending Friends' events, helping at the Annual Book Sale, or having books picked up for the Sale, please telephone the Friends at 416-978-6750 and leave a message.

St. Hilda's College Alumnae Association

St. Hilda's stained glass

The St. Hilda’s College Alumnae Association’s mission is to maintain a spirit of fellowship among the female graduates of Trinity College and to foster a relationship with its students.

The SHCAA was founded in 1897 and currently boasts more than 7,000 members. Until 2004, St. Hilda's was the College's residence for women. Spurred by the integration of the residences in 2005, the association re-examined its mandate and restructured its program of events for alumnae to include, for example, a Feast of St. Hilda's, celebrating its patroness, the seventh-century abbess and advisor to churchmen, princes and poets, who had a profound influence on the early English church and society. The association helps to organize an annual luncheon with a speaker, held yearly on the Saturday of Spring Reunion weekend.

Trinity College Divinity Associates

The mission of  the Trinity College Divinity Associates is to strengthen bonds among present and former students, graduates, faculty members, and friends of the Faculty of Divinity, and to promote the interests of Trinity College.

The association was created in 1984 to provide a way for graduates of the Faculty of Divinity to connect more effectively with the ongoing life of the Faculty and to provide the College with avenues for feedback from a distinct alumni group. The Associates are supported in their work by the Office of Development Alumni Affairs. The group's primary activity is to sponsor an annual conference, which provides an opportunity for intellectual stimulus and for reconnecting with friends and with the College about issues affecting the life of the faculty.
