Strength To Strength Campaign Report

From the Campaign Chair
Strength to Strength. What a tremendous description for one of the most successful achievements in Trinity College’s history.
Building on the accomplishments of the past and clearly focused on the future, the Strength to Strength Campaign has seen a remarkable outpouring of support for this great institution.
As you will read in this report, the Strength to Strength Campaign was an unqualified success. The $19.5 million that was raised greatly exceeded our $15 million goal, and is a testimony to the loyal commitment of alumni and friends who have contributed to Trinitys future.
The investments made by hundreds of donors will have a permanent impact on many areas of vital importance. Trinity’s renowned academic programs now have significant new resources to sustain their excellence. Scores of new endowed scholarships will help us to attract high-quality students, and to assist those with financial need. And the physical infrastructure and architectural quality of our College have been enhanced as well. Substantial endowments were also raised that will permanently support key senior College leadership positions of Provost, Librarian and Archivist.
Taken together, these investments represent one of the largest infusions of new resources in the history of the College.
My deepest thanks is extended to the volunteer leaders of the Campaign Cabinet, who gave countless hours to help us achieve success. Behind it all has been the dynamic presence of former Provost Margaret MacMillan and current Provost Andy Orchard. These great leaders embody the excellence that is Trinity College.
To every donor who responded to the vision of the Campaign and invested so generously in Trinitys future, we extend a heartfelt thanks. Your impact will be felt by Trinity students for generations to come.
