Strength To StrengthWhat is Trinity? What does Trinity mean to us today? What will Trinity mean to future generations? Why do we – its alumni, students, friends and staff – value Trinity? How can we ensure its future? WHY WE NEED YOUR SUPPORTThe urgent reality at Trinity today is that, contrary to what some may believe, government funding and tuition fees cover only part of what we do. They do not pay for the very things that make the Trinity experience what it is – such as the Provost, or the Academic Dons, or the music in the Chapel – nor do they provide the exceptional learning environment our students deserve. These things are not covered under our annual block grant from the University. That will not change, and so we cannot look to the University or to government for more funding. Nor do we have the authority to raise student fees. Smart MoneyHow You Can Make a Difference to Trinity’s FutureWe know what an asset Trinity is. We want to make it even better and even stronger, with enriched programs, more support services and secure funding. We want Trinity to be one of the world’s top centres where undergraduates gather to study the liberal arts. That is why we need you to help us realize the vision for Trinity. To help us build on its strengths to create a College for the 21st century. To help us educate the brightest and the best. This is the moment to create a long-term, sustainable future for the College. By establishing a reliable foundation for financial stability, this campaign will preserve and protect the meaning of Trinity and what makes it unique in Canada – and in the hearts of those who love the College and all that it stands for. We sincerely hope you will give to this campaign for Trinity. Your investment will be your personal legacy to Trinity and its future. Your College deserves your commitment. Our students are counting on you. It’s time for all of us to do our part. Won’t you join us?
