Our theatre was built in 1979 and the first major upgrade took place twenty years later. Now, another decade has passed and we continue to make substantial improvements. In 2008, we were able to make full use of the innovative "dimmer-doubling" capability of our lighting system and we have greatly increased the flexiblity of our house plot by switching to 77V technology. At the same time, we continue to offer productions the security of a professionally designed and maintained houseplot with additional lights available to make the lighting unique for each production. If you have time, we will hang and focus more than a dozen special lights. If you're short of time, two Rosco I-Cue Intelligent Mirrors with Scrollers allow the lighting board operator to remotely relocate and recolour your "specials" during the show. The back wall can be coloured with panels of colour with three-colour cyclorama lights -- red, green and blue -- providing producers with a wide range of lighting possiiblities in a relatively short time.

Our sound system uses a flexible system of wiring and digital processing, allowing the theatre to re-configure itself for diverse events at rapid speed. From dance to conferences, panel discussions and music competiitons, the theatre sound system is capable of accommodating most applications.
