We provide a trained operator for our ETC Ion Lighting Console. Our house plot comprises 63 instruments, organized into 10 zones: Conventionals (do not move, no remote-control features) - 10 ETC Source 4s used as cool front light Automated Fixtures (remote controlled mirrors, irises or colour changers) - 3 ETC S4-26 front lights, (each with a Seachanger, DMX Iris, and Rosco I-Cue Mirror) The following lighting instruments are reserved as "specials" are available and can be relocated and re-focused on a show-by-show basis: 10 - ETC Source 4 Parnels with barn doors, 550W, 77V ETC Additionally, we frequently have "other" concepts available that are not part of our "standard" house plot: - 4 ETC Source 4 Jr. Zooms, stair lights (one per aisle) Please check with us to see if there is anything in the air from a previous group that you can re-use to save time. There is no additional fee to use the lighting specials. We do not expect them to be "restored" or struck. Additional lighting units may be added by the renter. However, we do charge a restoration fee to any renter who wishes to change the house plot. This fee must be paid with the original contact since it requires that we reserve additional time in the theatre for the restoration. You can find out more about our lighting equipment at the ETC Website Remember: Although, there are ample colour frames, barn doors, cable, two-fers, gobo holders, etc., available for most applications, groups are expected to provide their own colour and gobos if different from House Plot. As well, only Authorized personnel are permitted to ascend ladders and hang/focus lighting instruments.
At Trinity College, our students often supplement the available lighting by renting specialty equipment. Pictured here, Trinity College students prepare the lighting in the Quad during Frosh Week 2008. |
