![]() Faculty of DivinityContact InformationRachel Richards As the oldest centre for theological study in the Anglican Church of Canada, the Faculty of Divinity at Trinity College has led the way for more than a century and a half in providing theological education within the Anglican tradition. Trinity has educated and trained a steady stream of Anglican priests, bishops, archbishops and primates (including the two most recent, Michael Peers and Andrew Hutchison), as well as notable theologians, academics, and increasingly in more recent times, laypeople. Today we experience the excitement of adapting that ongoing tradition in creative ways to new intellectual, liturgical, spiritual and pastoral approaches, and new expressions of social justice and ecumenical co-operation, both locally and on a global scale. We offer our programs as a means of educating people for ministry in the Church and society. We provide education for Christian ministry, lay or ordained, both at the basic degree level (M.Div., M.T.S.) and at the advanced degree level (M.A., Th.M., Th.D., Ph.D., D.Min.). We invite you most warmly to share in our life over the next few years and beyond. Within the Toronto School of Theology, there is an enormous range of areas of study. Trinity itself offers students the opportunity to include in their studies concentrations in several emerging areas, including:
Financial Support for Students.
Trinity attempts to provide financial support for students who need it, so that they may have time to study. All students are eligible to apply for need-based bursaries. Doctoral students are also eligible for junior fellowships that are given out on a competitive basis and for teaching assistantships. For more information on Trinity’s financial support speak to the Dean.
There are up to five doctoral fellowship packages awarded each year valued at up to $10,000. These fellowship packages are renewable for up to four years of study, provided the winner makes normal progress towards the doctorate. Other doctoral students are eligible for bursaries up to the value of 75% of domestic tuition.
Basic degree students are eligible for bursaries up the value of 60% of domestic tuition. ![]() Trinity Divinity NewsletterStay up-to-date with news in the Faculty Fall 2011
