Pastors' Electronic Library

An etching of an open book.

The purpose of this page is to help ministers and students involved in biblical, theological, and historical studies gain access to some of the multitude of web-based resources available. Simply follow the links to go to the various web pages, or search the site by keyword or author. It must be noted that this compilation of links is a selective one. While there are many more potential resources on the worldwide web than are included here, the sites included have been chosen for the quality of their content and their ease of use. NOTE: Many of the Greek and Hebrew language sites are useful only if the user has downloaded and installed a Greek or Hebrew font.

The work of searching and annotation was conducted by Brian Cooper, a doctoral candidate in theology at Wycliffe College. The project was funded by a grant from The Leonard Foundation, to which gratitude is expressed for its continuing support of theological education at Wycliffe College.

The sites listed are ranked using a star rating system, as follows:

* = a resource that is fair in quality or good in a fairly narrow subject area.
* * = a resource that is good in quality and reasonably user-friendly.
* * * = a very good resource, which includes all the above attributes but which also incorporates increased user-friendliness or informational content, or both.
* * * * = an excellent resource, combining oustanding informational content with excellent organization, web design, and searchability.
