- * * * Arguably the premier internet repository of theological and religious resources. Its listings are arranged by subject and are keyword searchable, and are also arranged according to material type. The guide was created by Charles K. Bellinger, Theological Librarian and Assistant Professor of Theology and Ethics at Brite Divinity School in Fort Worth, Texas.

- Yale Diviniity School Library's massive online database includes Free Online Religion Resources and Selected Internet Sites and Electronic Texts sites. Users can browse by resource format or subject area, and the database is also keyword searchable. Note that not all resources listed are online; some are texts on CD-ROM and can be accessed only at Yale University Library.

- * * * Digital library of 1,500+ English language theological classics including works by Barth, Bultmann; Old and New Testament; mission; homiletics; pastoral care and counselling. Contains links to biblical texts, study aids, and articles on various topics by a number of well-known scholars. Resources here are not always the deepest in any area, but this site covers possibly the broadest range of topics found in any Christian resource site and is easy to navigate.

- * * * A list of links to all manner of web-based religious studies (i.e., more than just Christian) study tools. Like most, it is searchable by keyword and also browsable by topic. Unlike most, it is also arranged by format. It is maintained by Saundra Lipton of the University of Calgary.

- * * A fairly good selection of bible texts, public domain bible study aids, and Christian books by modern as well as classic authors.
- Christian Classics Ethereal Library
- * * * Vast collection of public domain source material, historical and theological, searchable by title, author, or subject. Since the texts are generally accessed as html files, they can be saved for offline viewing. An excellent resource. Formerly located at the University of Pittsburgh and later at Wheaton College, the CCEL is now located at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

- Features more than 11,000 articles on Catholic topics, as well as Aquinas' Summa Theologica, works of the Church Fathers, and Catholic links. Based on the 1913 printed edition.
- Biblical and Educational Resources
- * * * Huge compendium of links to resources in biblical studies, history and historical theology. Possibly the largest assembly of links to biblical texts and translations available.
- Virtual Religion Index
- * * * From the religion department at Rutgers University, this is one of the more comprehensive sites in religious studies. Like the other really good resource sites, it is arranged in topical groups and is keyword searchable.
- Internet Christian Library
- * * In addition to a sizable collection of links to online resources and texts, this site contains links to a large list of Christian organizations and educational institutions.
- Internet Public Library
- * * * This site, created by members of the University of Michigan School of Information, is intended to be an online library, giving users searchable access to all manner of online materials on a variety of topics.
