DIVINITY AD INFINITY
Honorary degrees will be conferred upon the Rt. Rev. M. Philip Poole, James George and Rosemary Shipton at the Faculty of Divinity Convocation May 8.
Poole (7T7) served as rector of Trinity Church in Aurora, Ont. and was chaplain of Trinity College School in Port Hope, Ont. He was consecrated as Area Bishop of York-Credit Valley in February 2005.
George, a 1940 Trinity Rhodes Scholar, is a former Canadian ambassador to India, Sri Lanka, and Iran and is the author of Asking for the Earth, which argues for a deep connection between human spirituality and global ecology.
Shipton is an editor and teacher and a partner in Shipton, McDougall Maude Associates, a publishing consultancy based in Toronto.
