Canada's Chief of the Defence Staff, General Rick Hillier, will inaugurate the first evening of the Chancellor's Series, a new event on the Trinity calendar that will allow alumni and students to see and hear some of Canada's most important figures in conversation with Chancellor Bill Graham. Gen. Hillier, who became widely known in Canada when he was appointed Commander of the International Security Assistance Force, the NATO force deployed in Kabul, Afghanistan, has also commanded troops in the U.S., Europe, and Asia.
In a less formal alternative to a speech or lecture, Chancellor Graham and Gen. Hillier will meet onstage at the George Ignatieff Theatre to discuss the Canadian mission in Afghanistan.
Tickets must be reserved ahead, and a block of seats is being reserved for students.
