The Margaret MacMillan Trinity One Program

Application Procedure for September 2012

Application to the Trinity One Program is open to all full-time students entering their first year of study in the Faculty of Arts & Science at the University of Toronto, regardless of their college affiliation. The program currently has a limited enrolment of 100 students – 50 in the International Relations Stream, 25 in the Ethics Stream and 25 in the Public Policy Stream.  There are two sections of the International Relations Stream.

Applications for the Trinity One Program for 2012-2013 are now being accepted.

The link to the Trinity One Application Form for 2012-2013 is at the bottom of this page.

The deadline to apply has been extended to April 16, 2012.

The Trinity One application is separate from the university application process, and you do not need to wait until you receive an acceptance from U of T before applying to Trinity One.  You will need to use your U of T applicant number, which is provided to you when your application to U of T is confirmed.   Applications will be assessed on the basis of your high school grades as we receive them centrally from the University, and on your Trinity One on-line application.

After you have applied:

Log on to the Trinity One Status Check after April 26, 2012 to see the status of your application.  The link to the Trinity One Status Check is at the bottom of this page.

If your status reads "invited," you must confirm your intention to accept a place in the program.  If you do not confirm by the deadline you have been given, the invitation will lapse, and you will forfeit the offer of a place in the program.

If your status reads "waitlist," you must confirm your intention to remain on the waitlist.  Once you have confirmed your intention to remain on the waitlist, you should check back weekly at the Status Check to see if your status has changed to "invited."  If it has, please follow the above instructions for "invited" status.  The Status Check is updated weekly on Thursdays.  Please note that if you do not confirm your intention to remain on the waitlist by the deadline you have been given, we will remove your name from the waitlist.

If your status reads "received," it means we have not yet been able to assess your file.  You should check back at the Status Check weekly.  The Status Check is updated weekly on Thursdays.

If your status reads, "refused," then we have not been able to offer you a space in Trinity One or on the waitlist.  No further action on your part is required.
