8T3 Thirtieth Anniversary Reunion

Dear Class of 8T3:

It has been thirty years since your graduation and reunion offers the chance to come back to the College and re-connect with the people who made your undergraduate experience so much more than just an education.

The Party

The attached schedule outlines the full roster of activities planned for June 1, 2013.  The event where we would like to see great attendance from 8T3 is the Garden Party.  This event held in the Quad and Strachan Hall gets rave reviews year after year.  The food is great, the crowd is big, and the ambiance in the newly restored Strachan Hall is magnificent.  Rain or shine this party is always enjoyable!

Giving Back

All of the reunion classes are being asked to make a special donation. This year, the honoured classes are supporting the Strachan Hall Restoration Project. The Strachan Hall Project is Trinity’s most ambitious initiative in recent years, and involved the restoration of Strachan Hall and a complete renovation of the kitchen and servery at a cost of over $4 million. The students have committed $300,000 of their own funds, which is an extraordinary affirmation of the importance of Strachan Hall to Trinity students. We are challenging each class to pull together to raise $5,000 for a table in Strachan Hall. Your table will be inscribed as a gift from the “Class of 8T3”. Gifts of all sizes will be greatly appreciated by Trinity and its students, both present and future.

What can YOU do to make Reunion 2013 great?

Getting the word out to your classmates, planning your attendance, and considering a gift are all ways you can make reunion a success.

  1. Send your email address to the alumni office to julia.paris@utoronto.ca. Our contact lists are only partial, and those frequently snail-mail only.  Make it easier for us to contact you about reunion by sending in your email.
  2. If you have stayed in touch with friends from 8T3, please make sure they are on the list.  Send them an email and ask them to forward their coordinates to our office. That way, we can keep them informed as the reunion gathers momentum.
  3. Please send in the enclosed registration form or register online at springreunion.utoronto.ca so we will know you are coming.

Looking forward to seeing you on June 1!

Reunion Events

Trinity’s Spring Reunion is a unique and special event for the College and our alumni. Each year, hundreds of alumni come from abroad and from down the street to reconnect with their classmates, see old friends and meet new ones. Our longest standing alumni have a chance to meet some of our students and newest graduates. The familiar buildings offer a warm homecoming while the new additions and recent changes are reminders of the new generation and our collective future as the Trinity family. All of this and great food too!
