Welcome to Trinity College's opportunities for students website!  Trinity College strives to provide a number of both paid and volunteer opportunities for students each year. Some examples of positions include: College Tour Guides, Residence Tour Room Hosts, Copy Centre Clerks, Peer Counsellors, FLC Peer Mentors and Assistant Peer Mentors, Student Library Staff, various other Work-Study positions and more! We will also even advertise other opportunities available through both the University of Toronto and larger community, as they are made available to us.

POSITION SUMMARY: STEP Re-Orientation is supported by the Faculty of Arts and Science and will be a comprehensive half‐day forum available to 2nd year students, likely early in the winter term (i.e., January), incorporating key topical and relevant information and making use of existing university expertise, resources and staff. This event will provide students with an opportunity to reflect on their university experience thus far, expose them to the most stage‐appropriate services and resources for success in this phase of their degree, and ultimately strategically plan for the rest of their time at U of T. The timing of this event will complement the fall reorientation and welcome to program events held by departments.  This Faculty of Arts and Science‐wide event will be implemented through each of the seven Colleges and this Work-Study position will be in place to support STEP Re-Orientation at TRINITY COLLEGE.  The event will be developed around the themes highlighted above, incorporating any appropriate college‐specific resources and supports. The title of the event and communications materials will be consistent across the Colleges.  Some of the highlighted priority areas will include:  Academic Success Strategies, Strategies for Developing Skills and Experience & Planning for Future Success:

This individual in this position will help to to plan and coordinate this event through to completion, including post-event assessment and set-up for 2015-16.

-coordinate and liase between various staff and departments at Trinity College (team player, communication)
-develop advertising (computer, possibly graphics experience)
-help to develop schedule, coordinate room bookings and all other required aspects of event organization (organization, event management)
-help to develop assessment of event (assessment)

HOURS PER WEEK: 10-12 Hours Per Week (up to 180 hours total)

REMUNERATION: $11.00 per hours plus 4% vacation pay and 10% benefits
