Application Instructions for M.Div and M.T.S.

Admissions to Advanced Degree programs are managed by the Toronto School of Theology. Please see their website for deadlines and the online application.

The Faculty of Divinity accepts applications for September, January, and April. Your application to the College must include the Student Information form, the Application for Admission form, three letters of reference, official transcripts of post-secondary work, and a résumé.

Transcripts must be issued directly from the post-secondary institution to the College. The application deadlines are as follows:

admission for fall term -  April 30
admission for winter term - October 31
admission for summer term -  February 28

If your application meets our basic admission criteria, you will be invited for an interview. A final decision on admission will be made by a committee. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Faculty of Divinity Office at divinity@trinity.utoronto.ca or 416 978-2133.

Reference Letter

A student desiring to enter the Faculty of Divinity should send one copy of the Letter of Reference form (PDF document) to each of the persons named as referees (three references are required) on his or her Application Form, with the request that it be completed and returned to:

as soon as possible. Applicant should fill in his/her own name and address and that of the person from whom s/he is seeking a letter of reference.
