Greeting card designs

The Friends of the Library publish a variety of cards featuring illustrated works John W. Graham Library's special collections. Twenty-two different designs are currently available, including some suitable for Christmas cards and others appropriate for various occasions.

Cost: $10.00 including tax for a package of 8 cards
Description: All cards are printed on heavy cream paper and are blank inside. 
Where to buy: Cards are available for purchase in the office of the John W. Graham Library, or at Friends of the Library events throughout the year.

Turner was a British Canadian artist who emigrated from England in 1903 to Saskatchewan where he farmed while pursuing a career in art. He moved to Toronto in 1911, and his work often depicted urban subjects, notably in Toronto and Quebec City.

The Situation of the Garden of Eden

Woodcut from an edition of the Geneva Bible published in London in 1608 by Robert Barker, Printer to the King. This popular Protestant translation of the Bible, first published in 1560, is known as the "Breeches Bible" in reference to its version of Genesis iii: 7, in which Adam and Eve "sewed figge tree leaves together and made themselves breeches."
