Library instruction, workshops & tours

Librarians are available to provide students with introductory orientations to the library as well as workshops to teach information literacy skills such as:

  • searching library catalogues
  • searching subject specific journal indexes
  • searching the web efficiently
  • evaluating a variety of information resources
  • finding statistics and data sources
  • citing sources and using citation styles

Course-specific library instruction including custom research guides is also offered.  Course web pages on Blackboard can be customized by adding links to appropriate online library resources.
