Trinity One Application Procedure
Application to the Trinity One Program is open to all full-time students entering their first year of study in the Faculty of Arts & Science at the University of Toronto, regardless of their college affiliation.
You do not have to wait until you are offered admission to Arts & Science at the University of Toronto to apply to Trinity One, however your application will only be considered after you are offered admission to Arts & Science. Please note that offers are made on a rolling basis and that more than half of our offers will be made in early May.
We assess all applicants individually based upon their Trinity One application and academic record. The selection process for Trinity One is entirely separate from the selection process for admission to membership at Trinity College. Therefore, if are selected for one, you may or may not be selected for the other.
Apply On-Line: db.trinity.utoronto.ca/trinityone
The Trinity One application deadline was Sunday March 16, 2014. We will continue to accept applications beyond this deadline, but will give priority to those that applied before March 16.
Admission decisions to Trinity One are made on a rolling basis, but the majority of decisions will be made in early May. You will be notified by e-mail and can also view your application status by clicking on "Accept Offers" at the bottom of the Foundational Year Programs Page.
Step 1 - Apply to the University of Toronto, St. George Campus
Step 2 - Wait for an acknowledgement of your application from U of T. This will contain your 10-digit U of T applicant number and your JOINid.
Step 3 - Use your JOINid to access and complete the Trinity One application by the posted deadline. Remember that Trinity One is one of the Foundational Year Programs offered by U of T. You can apply to more than one College One program, but you can only accept one offer.
Step 4 - Once you've applied...wait patiently. We will assess all applications and can only offer admission to Trinity One after you have been admitted to U of T. Please note that offers are made on a rolling basis and that more than half of our offers will be made in early May.
Step 5 - Check your Trin One application status on-line through the Foundational Year Programs page. We will also e-mail you with our decision, but ultimately it is your responsibility to monitor your status. We respond to all applications, whether or not we are able to offer you a spot in Trinity One.
Step 6 - If you receive a Trinity One offer, then in addition to responding to U of T’s offer of admission through OUAC by the published deadline you MUST respond to the Trinity One offer by the deadline listed on the Foundational Year Programs status check. Please note that the deadline by which your offer to Trinity One expires may differ from the deadline to accept your offer of Admission to U of T.
Step 7 - Congratulations you are now a member of Trinity One! We will send you further information regarding course enrolment later in the summer.
