Residence - Next Steps for Newly Admitted Students
If you will be applying for residence, you must log into MyRes by March 31, 2013 and formally formally confirm your interest in residence to maintain your eligibility for the University of Toronto’s first-year housing guarantee (provided you meet the eligibility criteria indicated on MyRes). If you do not confirm your interest by this deadline, you will lose your U of T housing guarantee.
Once you have been offered admission, you must log into MyRes and rank your residence preferences by March 31, 2013 or within 14 days of the date on your offer letter (whichever is later) to maintain your eligibility for the University of Toronto’s first-year housing guarantee. If you do not rank your residence choices by this deadline, you will lose your U of T residence guarantee. Remember if you haven't completed Step 1, then you also no longer qualify for the residence guarantee.
If you qualify for the U of T residence guarantee and formally confirm your interest in residence on MyRes by March 31, 2013 and rank Trinity first in your MyRes residence preferences by the appropriate deadline then you must also complete and submit the Trinity College Residence Application by June 03, 2013. The Trinity Residence Application must be submitted complete with all requirements (e.g., deposit, photo) or your U of T guarantee will become void. The link to the Trinity College Residence Application is available on MyRes once you confirm your interest in residence. While the vast majority of our first-year students are housed in one of our two residences, please note that due to space restrictions, there is a possibility that your residence placement may not be at Trinity College but at another U of T residence. Any questions or concerns regarding residence or the guarantee should be directed to the Office of the Dean of Students (email@example.com or 416-978-3612).
