Snapshot of some of our end-of-year events and celebrations!
We look forward to celebrating with graduands at upcoming Convocation ceremonies: Faculty of Divinity on Tuesday, May 13, and Trinity College Arts & Science on Thursday, June 12.
Last Lecture: The 2nd annual Trinity College Last Lecture was held on April 2. The event provided an opportunity for the graduating cohort to gather as a class to celebrate their coming graduation, and to hear from three speakers (top left) faculty member – Dean of Arts Kevin O’Neill (cultural anthropologist); Trinity alumna the Hon. Adrienne Clarkson (Canadian journalist and 26th Governor General of Canada); and graduating student Ciara Mahaffy (who was selected as student speaker from the graduating class). Thank you to our fantastic speakers for their reflections and inspiring words, to all those who helped organize the event, and to our Class of 2025 attendees!
Quad Social: On April 4, students “savoured the moment” at the annual Trinity Quad Social – a time to celebrate the end of classes, connect with friends and enjoy some well-deserved treats and activities. Thanks to the Office of the Dean of Students, Academic Dons, Community Advisors, and Student Heads for hosting the afternoon of games & fun, music, festivities, and the free clothing exchange “Switch it, Don’t Ditch It!” Food tickets were generously sponsored by the St. Hilda’s College Board of Trustees and the Non-Resident Affairs Committee (NRAC) – thank you! Trinity One: Celebrating the successful conclusion of the academic year, Margaret MacMillan Trinity One students, faculty and staff were joined by Trinity One alumni who are graduating in June for the Trinity One End-of-Term Dinner on April 3. At the event, they also launched the beginning of the Trinity One 20th Anniversary Celebration! (Photo by Dewey Chang)
Ethics, Society & Law: Trinity’s Ethics, Society & Law program hosted a poster session and graduation celebration on April 4. The poster session featured the work of students completing ES&L’s Community Research Partnerships in Ethics (CRPE) program. ES&L alum and former TRN304Y Adjunct Professor Anthony Morgan (centre photo: far back), now serving on the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal, provided inspiring remarks to welcome the new grads into the alum community.
