Trinity College’s Faculty of Divinity Convocation 2024 will be held on Tuesday, May 14, starting at 3:30 pm in Strachan Hall.
At the Convocation ceremony, 14 Faculty of Divinity students will graduate with the following degrees: Master of Divinity (MDiv), Master of Theological Studies (MTS), Doctor of Ministry (DMin) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Theological Studies, which are awarded conjointly by Trinity College and the University of Toronto. Trinity College will also confer an Honorary Degree – Doctor of Divinity (honoris causa) – upon The Most Rev’d Anne Germond.
The Convocation Ceremony will be followed by a reception. The College looks forward to celebrating with our newest graduates and honoree!
Trinity College will confer a Doctor of Divinity (honoris causa) degree upon The Most Rev’d Anne Germond in recognition of her significant leadership across a substantial part of the Province of Ontario as the first woman to hold the role of Metropolitan of the Ecclesiastical Province of Ontario. Archbishop Germond is also being recognized for her work as Archbishop of Algoma and Archbishop of Moosonee and for her service as the Bishop for the Diocese of Moosonee; in particular her work with the numerous Indigenous communities across northern Ontario and northwestern Quebec in this diocese.
