In Memoriam: Brian Parker

Brian Parker from 1967 Toronto Star articleI am deeply saddened to let you know of the death of Brian Parker, Emeritus Professor of English at the University of Toronto, Fellow Emeritus of Trinity College, and beloved member of our community, on Saturday, July 25, 2020 in Toronto.

Reginald Brian Parker was born June 28, 1931 in Bunbury, Cheshire, UK. He joined Trinity College in 1960 as a Professor of English, where he remained until his retirement. He also served as Director, Graduate Centre for the Study of Drama, U of T, from 1967 to 1972, and as Dean of Arts and Vice-Provost at Trinity College from 1985 to 1991. For his many contributions to Trinity, Prof. Parker was awarded the honorary degree Doctor of Sacred Letters in 2002.
