In Memoriam: Greg Donaghy

Posted: July 04, 2020

Dear Members of the Trinity Community,

Greg Donaghy

It is with great sadness that I must inform you of the untimely passing of a valued member of our community, Greg Donaghy. After a long and illustrious career as a federal government historian, Greg joined Trinity College in 2019 as the Director of the Bill Graham Centre for Contemporary International History. In that role, he brought his characteristic thoughtfulness and expertise to the Centre and was instrumental in developing ambitious programming that drew upon his training as an historian and his lifelong commitment to social justice. Greg leaves many colleagues, students, friends and admirers at Trinity and his thoughtful generous presence here will be missed by all of us.

As you will read in his obituary, a funeral mass will be arranged when conditions permit and we will share that information when it is available. Until then, I know you will join me in sending our thoughts to Greg’s family at this very difficult time.

Sincerely,
Mayo Moran
