Celebrating our honorees and newest members of the Trinity community at Matriculation Convocation 2022

Posted: September 12, 2022

On September 7, 2022, Trinity College held its first in-person Matriculation Convocation since 2019. At Matriculation Convocation 2022, the College formally admitted and welcomed our incoming students to the College, and students were invited to sign the Trinity College register.

The College also conferred the degree of Doctor of Sacred Letters (honoris causa) upon Joannah Lawson and Brian Lawson in recognition of their outstanding volunteerism and their exemplary leadership on the critically important issues of our day. They are passionate champions of the interconnected issues of human health and environmental sustainability. In addition to creating the Lawson Centre for Child Nutrition at the Faculty of Medicine, their visionary support led to the launch of Trinity College’s innovative Integrated Sustainability Initiative, which incorporates sustainability into academic programs and co-curricular activities and supports the College’s exceptional new building that will be called the Lawson Centre for Sustainability in recognition of their inspirational leadership.
