Message from Trinity’s Student Services Team

Dear Trinity Students:

We hope you are well and had a restful reading week. We know that many students are struggling as we watch the terrible events in Ukraine unfold. At this extremely difficult time, we are extending our thoughts to Ukrainian people, including our students and community members who are of Ukrainian heritage. In light of the conflict in Ukraine, the University of Toronto and Trinity College are offering support to our community members who may be affected at this time. We have outlined available resources and supports below, and encourage you to reach out if you need help.

  • Fridays from 11:00 – 12:00 pm in the Abbott Room
Grief Support Circles

Students looking for space to talk and to process feelings/thoughts related to war and conflict can drop in for group grief support with campus chaplains on Tuesdays 12-1pm beginning March 8th. For details and registration https://clnx.utoronto.ca/home/slevents.htm?eventId=41971. Students can also access ongoing monthly grief support sessions held in partnership with Health and Wellness: https://clnx.utoronto.ca/home/slevents.htm?eventId=37022.  Please note that students do not need to belong to any faith tradition to access these spaces and the support offered is non-denominational / not specific to a religious tradition.

Academic Support

Academic advisors in the Registrar’s Office are available to help with any academic difficulties you may be experiencing.  We can talk through your options, discuss possible academic accommodations, and refer you to other more specialized resources as needed.  To book an appointment, you can email our office at registrar@trinity.utoronto.ca, drop by our front desk, or come to our online drop-in hours (Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00am to noon – Zoom link in your Trinity Life Quercus module).
