Upcoming January 2021 deadlines for Trinity College bursaries and in-course scholarships

Trinity College Bursary Program

A number of bursaries (non-repayable awards) ranging from $500 to $6,000 are awarded to Trinity students in financial need. The Trinity bursary application for fall/winter 2020-2021 is available online until January 22, 2021. Learn more about the College’s bursary program, including FAQs here.

Trinity has specific bursary funding to support students who are Black, Indigenous and People of Colour (BIPOC). Student funding is also available specifically for Ontario residents who are the first generation in their family to attend post-secondary studies.

Trinity College In-Course Scholarships

Trinity offers 400+ in-course and graduation awards to recognize academic and co-curricular achievement and to support those in financial need. There are two types of in-course scholarships for currently registered students: automatic and application-based scholarships.

In-Course Scholarships Requiring an Application
Trinity students must apply for these scholarships. Descriptions, application requirements and deadlines are listed here.

Although many of the in-course scholarships requiring an application are due in May 2021, there are two that are due in JANUARY 2021:

  • Bronskill Prize (value up to $5,000): Application Deadline January 29, 2021
  • Rolph Award (value up to $1,200 each; one or more awards): Application Deadline January 8, 2021

  • Cyril A. Morong Scholarship of Excellence for Black students involved in the community
  • Dean’s Student Initiative Fund to support projects that enhance the student experience

In-Course Scholarships Automatically Awarded Each Year
For automatic in-course scholarships – all Trinity students are automatically considered for Trinity’s in-course scholarships at the end of their first, second and third years. Students do not apply for these scholarships.

Graduation Awards

Like the in-course scholarships, there are graduation awards that are automatic and application-based (due May 2021). Click here for details about graduation awards.
