Trinity’s Student Food Ambassador (SFA) provides guidance and support to their peers throughout the academic year related to food. They are responsible for helping to serve as a bridge between the student body and food services at the College.
Richard (Ruichen) Shuai will be working as the Student Food Ambassador for the 2022 – 2023 academic year. Richard is a fourth-year student specializing in Psychology and Mathematics, with a minor in Statistics. Having worked in a range of positions across campus and engaged in both local and global student-led organizations, Richard is passionate about connecting with people and taking the initiative to improve their campus experience. As the SFA, Richard will assist with the planning, promotion, and implementation of programming for Trinity College students, focusing on food services and nutrition. He will also help with the collection, analysis, and utilization of student feedback to enhance everyone’s dining. Richard will at the same time manage the @TrinEats Instagram account and co-chair the Student Food Advisory Committee (SFAC).
To engage with students, Richard will host weekly office hours in Strachan and the Buttery – students are encouraged to connect with Richard during these office hours to provide feedback.
