Trinity College Annual Book Sale

Book sale imageA spectacular Annual Book Sale is held by the Friends of the Library every October in Seeley Hall at Trinity College. Funds raised through the Book Sale support many projects and activities of Trinity's John W. Graham Library. The annual revenue from book sales in recent years has consistently reached or exceeded $120,000, and the 2013 Book Sale yielded $131,000.

Book Sale Donations and Volunteer Opportunities

Image of book spinesThe Friends are very grateful to all the people who have donated books over the years. This has enabled us to have thirty-eight successful book sales, and we are looking forward to another banner sale this coming October. We have to state, however, that we now have on hand as many books as we can process for this year's sale, while at the same time we are faced with the loss of some of our storage space in order to make room for the College's proposed new Archives facility. For these reasons, and out of respect for donors who have already given us their books, we must respectfully--indeed reluctantly--decline offers of further new donations at the present time. When this situation is resolved over the next several months, we will once again welcome donations of books from all interested donors.

In the meantime we thank all who have in the past supported the work of the Friends of the Library, and we add especially that the Book Sale Committee is always keen to welcome new volunteers to help throughout the year, as well as during the sale itself. Please consider becoming a member of the Friends of the Library. You may use the online membership application form included on this website.

If you need to contact the Friends of the Library for further information, or if you wish to volunteer at the book sale, please phone 416-978-6750 and leave a message. Someone will return your call.
