Gilbert’s research interests include computer vision, artificial intelligence, video surveillance, video conferencing, computer networking, and database applications.
Awards, Affiliations, Personal Interests, etc.:
Gilbert is a two-time Governor General’s Medal recipient for academic achievement. He joined Trinity College in 1989 as Computer Science Don while completing his PhD in Computer Vision. He later became Senior Resident, Coordinator of Computer Services, and Information + Technology Services Coordinator of Trinity College, which is his current position. He was responsible for bringing computer networking, email, ResNet, and web services to Trinity College.
