Message from the Dean of Divinity

Christopher Brittain

Thank you for your interest in our Theology programs at Trinity College. My name is Chris Brittain, and I have the privilege of serving at the Dean of Divinity.

Trinity has a long history of excellence in theological scholarship, valuing our location in the wider University of Toronto and the interdisciplinary opportunities this provides. As one of the oldest Anglican theological centres in Canada, we have a recognized track-record in training ministers for the churches, and our graduates have faithfully served across the globe.

The Faculty is rooted in the liberal-catholic tradition, but embraces a diversity of Christian expressions. Our curriculum today emphasizes responding to emerging challenges in church and society, liturgical expertise, spirituality, field education, and contributing to the future shape of the church in a multicultural and multi-faith context.

Looking to deepen your theological knowledge, or wanting to be prepared to serve as dynamic leaders in God’s church? Contact us to learn more about our programs.
