Books about Churchill

As part of many generous gifts over the years, the Winston Churchill Collection at Trinity College has acquired hundreds of monographs about Churchill and his times- his political career, his life, and his relations with Canada- just to name a few subjects.

Randolph Churchill and Martin Gilbert set about chronicling the life and times of Winston Churchill. Their collaborative work culminated in a seven-volume tome, complete with companion volumes providing even more information. An invaluable resource for any Churchill scholar, the books carefully document and present Churchill’s full biography in vivid detail.

Ronald I. Cohen’s comprehensive three volume bibliography is the definitive bibliography of Churchill’s books, pamphlets, leaflets, letters and contributions to others’ works [Reference D566.9 C5 Z93 2006 v.1-3]. Thoroughly researched, Cohen provides the reader with information about the various editions of Churchill’s texts. Cohen gives each of the editions and printings of a title a unique code number, making it easy for textual scholars to compare books and editions.
